The climate of Bicheno (Australia)
Bicheno is a small place located on Tasmania’s east coast. Originally Bicheno used to be a coal port, but when gold was found in Australia coal was no longer interesting. Nowadays Bicheno is a holiday resort suitable for active as well as laidback holidays. Fishing and diving especially are popular. A tourist boat with a glass bottom is available for those who want to enjoy nature. The marine reserve on Governor Island is a popular diving spot. On the island itself you might run into a Tasmanian devil. The surrounding parks offer a few hundred kilometers of walks.
On average temperatures are a bit lower than in the rest of Australia. This is due to the more southern position of the island. During the summer months temperatures are around 22 degrees Celsius, which is pleasant. Keep in mind that seasons are opposite of ours. There is little rainfall the year round. During the winter months there is a slight chance of frost. Chances of frost are highest in June and July.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather, extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate information for each month of the year:
