The climate of Namur (Belgium)
Namur is the capital of Wallonia and is located on the river Maas/Meuse. This beautiful old city has kept a lot of its original charm. It invites you to take nice strolls through the historic streets. The main attraction in Namur is its citadel; built on the rocks and towering over the city. Namur is a very lively, bustling town. The city has many young residents and there is very much creativity going on. There are many festivals on poetry, music, folklore and other forms of art. Because Namur is situated in a valley heavy rain is not uncommon in Namur. Just like in the rest of the Ardennes there is more rainfall here than in other parts of Belgium.
