The climate of Maun (Botswana)
Maun is a medium-sized city in the north-western part of Botswana located in the North-West district. Maun is located on the banks of the Thamalakane River. The city was founded as the capital for the Batawana people. Nowadays Maun is a popular tourist attraction. Most tourists come here to go on a safari. The city is also known for its many charter companies. Maun has a steppe climate with most precipitation during the summer. Night time temperatures are much colder than daytime temperatures; temperatures may differ up to 20 degrees Celsius. During the winter there is little to no precipitation.
