The climate of Tangshan (China)
Tangshan is a large industrial town in the province of Hebei. The city is very old; several remains from these ancient times can still be found in the city. Several graves dating back to the Qing dynasty can be found. The city is also an important sanctuary for followers of Confucius, Taoism and Buddhism. Mount Jingzhong is an important place for the followers of these religions. Because the city is situated in the vicinity of a fault line it was destroyed several times in the past. Because of this modern constructions and old remains form a harmonious whole. Although the city is situated on the water Tangshan has a warm continental climate. This causes extreme differences in temperatures between summer and winter. This is mainly caused by the cold Siberian winds. Summers are wet because of the monsoon.
