The climate of Rab (Croatia)
The island of Rab is situated in the northern part of Croatia in the Adriatic Sea. The island of Rab has a mild Mediterranean climate. Rab is one of the largest islands of Croatia with a surface area of 9,048 square kilometers. Rab is not influenced by the bleak continental climate which can be found in other parts of Croatia; it is protected from the fierce winds that come from the Velebit mountain range by three hill ridges. Rab is one of the greenest islands in the Adriatic Sea. Rab is completely covered with pine tree forests and has beautiful sandy beaches that give the island its magical atmosphere.
