The climate of Split (Croatia)
The city of Split is the vibrant center of Dalmatia. This beautiful city on the Adriatic Sea is the starting point for a vacation in Croatia for many. Split has a Mediterranean climate just like other cities on the Adriatic coast. Precipitation figures are low all year round; November is the wettest month. Summers are pleasantly warm with sultry evenings; it is even pleasant to go for a nighttime swim. Winters are slightly colder than in other regions in Croatia. During the night subzero temperatures may occur.
