The climate of Cayo Coco (Cuba)
Cayo Coco is an island off the north coast of Cuba and is part of Jardines del Rey. Jardines del Rey, which means the King’s garden is the name of a group of islands off Cuba’s coast. Jardines del Rey’s airport is situated on Cayo Coco. Cayo Coco is connected to the main land by a 27 kilometer long land bridge. If you want to travel to Cayo Coco via this land bridge you need to bear in mind that there are is a very strict access control and you need to show a hotel voucher in order to get access. Furthermore you need to pay toll.
Cayo Coco has a savannah climate. During the summer months Cayo Coco has a rainy season. During this period it can rain for days on end. However, temperatures remain high and pleasant. This also means that humidity figures are quite high. During the winter months the climate is much drier and temperatures remain pleasant. This is the best time to visit Cayo Coco. During the winter months the temperature of the sea remains pleasant as well.
