The climate of Guardalavaca (Cuba)
Guardalavaca is located on the north eastern coast of Cuba in the Holguin province. Guardalavaca is one of the most important holiday destinations in Cuba. The white beaches and the extremely clear water are very popular with tourists. Divers and snorkelers can enjoy the coral reef in this region. Many species of fish live in this coral reef. You can also swim with dolphins here. The neighbouring city of Holguin is about 90 minutes away by car. Just like the rest of Cuba Guardalavaca has a savannah climate with wet and warm summers and dry and pleasant winters. The summers are very wet; in combination with a relatively high temperature this makes for high humidity figures. Because Guardalavaca is situated on the Atlantic Ocean there is an ever present and pleasant breeze. During the summer months hurricanes are not uncommon.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather, extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate information for each month of the year:
