The climate of Paphos (Cyprus)
Paphos is located in the southwestern part of Cyprus in the West
region in the vicinity of the Troodos mountain range on the
Mediterranean Sea. Because of its great historical value the entire
city of Paphos is a Unesco world heritage site. According to legend
the Greek goddess of beauty Aphrodite was born in the waves off the
coast of Paphos. The popular seaside resort Paphos has a very pleasant
Mediterranean climate. Summers are pleasantly warm and dry with
daytime temperatures around 30 degrees Celsius. Precipitation mainly
falls during the winter with temperatures of 15-18 degrees Celsius.
Please, bear in mind that summers may be hot when you stay on the
leeward side out of wind.
