The climate of Viborg (Denmark)
Viborg is a medium sized city located centrally in the northern part of the Jutland peninsula. The city is the capital of the Central Jutland region and is among the oldest cities on Jutland. The surrounding region is very popular among nature lovers, cyclers and anglers. In the vicinity of the cities of Monsted and Daugbjerg, both located near Viborg several chalk caves can be visited.
Viborg has a moderate maritime climate mainly influenced by the North Sea. Because of this extremes in weather are uncommon. There is no big difference in temperatures between summer and winter. During the sinter subzero temperatures during the night are not uncommon. During the day temperatures rise a few degrees above freezing point.
