The climate of Suchitoto (El Salvador)
Suchitoto lies in the centre of El Salvador. It is a nice historic little town where the old colonial architecture has remained intact pretty well. Suchitoto is an excellent starting-point for sight-seeing. You can find a lot of beautiful scenery around this town. Such as, for instance, the splendid lake where boattrips can be made and where you can enjoy the special birds that live here. Also the Guazapa volcano is worth visiting.
Suchitoto has a tropical savannah climate. The temperature is rather constant throughout the year. The monthly temperature is not below 18 degrees throughout the year. However the rain is not that equally spread over the year. The tropical savannah climate is a transitional climate between the rainforest and the desert. Therefore this climate has a distinct rainy and dry period. The dry period is mostly in the winter months. The rainy period is in the summer months. Heavy showers may fall then regularly.
