The climate of Cornwall (England)
Cornwall is a county in the south west of England and is characterized by the lovely landscape and beautiful picture postcard coastal towns. The most southern tip of England has a very long coastline. Cornwall’s coast and landscape are very beautiful. There are a lot of attractions for garden enthusiasts. One striking example is the Eden project. Furthermore the landscape is dotted with lovely villages with white cottages and old fishing villages. The Cornish Coastal Footpath covers a distance of 260 miles and is ideal for gentle strolls and challenging hikes. Because Cornwall is the most southern tip of England its climate is relatively warmer and sunnier than in the rest of England. Palm trees even grow here. Cornwall gets about 1,541 hours of sunshine per year. A pleasantly warm breeze is caused by the warm Gulf Stream. Just as in the rest of England rain falls all year round.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather, extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate information for each month of the year:
