The climate of Cévennes (France)
The Cévennes is a reserve in the south of France. Due to the influence of the Mediterranean Sea this area has short, cold winters
and warm summers with the exception of the rock tablelands in the mountains. These parts by their bareness cool down and warm up
much faster, through which around these places prevails a sort of mini land climate. The Cévennes are mostly explored on foot. The
months May and June in particular are very suitable for this as it can get very warm in the summer. The Cévennes are very thinly
populated, the people who live there have known a restless history. These mountaineers have a great sense of justice, more than
once the region revolted against dictatorial leaders.
