The climate of the Jura Mountains (France)
The Jura Mountains are situated against the Alps and offer a splendid view of these mountains. The highest tops of the Jura are some 1600 meters high, so it can be pretty cold there. In the summer months the temperature also drops quickly there at night. Although in the summer months the temperature can be agreeable in the daytime, it does rain more in the Jura than in other places in France. Some 40 % of the area of the Jura consists of forests, so it is an excellent region for an active holiday.
