The climate of Metz (France)
The town of Metz is situated in the troubled region of Lorraine. In history this town has been in German hands many times but since the Second World War Metz has entirely been French. The town centre is situated at the confluence of the rivers Seille and Moselle. Metz has a very large pedestrian area where you can take beautiful walks. The town still has many old buildings worth visiting. Because Metz is situated farther from the sea than most French towns Metz has a slightly different climate. The winters can be rather cold with surely a number of nights with frost. In the summer the temperature rises considerably and it can be very warm.
