The climate of Reims (France)
Reims is the centre of the region of Champagne, where the aerated wine of the same name comes from. Reims is especially known for its splendid cathedral in the centre of the town. This cathedral built in the 12th century is the place where almost all French kings from the past were crowned. Despite the heavy damage that the cathedral sustained during the First World War it is still one of the most beautiful examples of gothic edifices. The weather in Reims is like in many places in the north of France. In the autumn and the spring there is a chance of a considerable quantity of precipitation, however this is amply compensated by the amount of sunny hours in the summer, which among other things provide the delicious taste that the champagne has!
