The climate of Toulon (France)
Toulon is the capital of the department of Var and one of the most important military ports of France. Toulon is particularly known for its technical centre for underwater equipment, naval vessels, armories and aviation. This big port has a mediterranean sea climate. Toulon has warm summers and very mild winters. However the wind can rise occasionally; this is also called the Mistral and provides some cooling in the summer. From Toulon there are various ferries sailing among other places to Rome and Corsica.
