The climate of Cochem (Germany)
Cochem is a small city located in the southwestern part of Germany in Rhineland Palatinate. The city attracts many tourists. Cochem is nicely located on the banks of the Mosel River. The skyline of the city is determined by many old houses and the Imperial Castle. Trips along the Rhine and Mosel often pass this city. Cochem has been well preserved and is a very cosy city. During the summer it is very nice to stroll along the Mosel Boulevard. The surroundings of the city are very popular among walkers and hikers, cyclists and motorcyclists. Cochem has a mild maritime climate. On the steep slopes wine is produced. Winters are failry mild. However, subzero temperatures are not uncommon. Precipitation figures are high during spring and fall. Because the city is located in a valley extreme weather conditions such as storms are uncommon. Summers are pleasant and sunny.
