The climate of Halle (Germany)
Halle is a very old city located centrally in Germany. The first records date back to the 9th century. In the old city center many attractions and old buildings can be admired. The center is very cosy and it is very pleasant to stroll through. A beautiful square is situated in the center as well as the Market church of St. Mary, using elements of two medieval churches and Moritzburg which is a medieval castle. Halle flourished during medieval times because of salt mining. Halle has a maritime climate with mild winters caused by the influence of the warm Gulf Stream in the North Sea. Because of this influence temperatures during the summer are tempered. Chances of rainy days are highest during fall. During the winter average temperatures are around freezing point.
