The climate of Bari (Italy)
Bari is the capital of the Bari province and the Apulia region located in the southern part of Italy at the top of the heel of the boot. Bari is an important port on the Adriatic coast with ferries to Durrs in Albania, Dubrovnik in Croatia and Bar in Montenegro. Many cruise lines make a stop-over in Bari. Bari has a university. The historic center with its countless squares, churches and the Norman-Swabian castle have all been preserved very well. Modern Bari is known for its remarkable rectangular street pattern. During the winter snow falls on a regular basis and snow chains are necessary. Bari has a moderate Mediterranean climate with mild winters and warm summers. Rainfall is average with a peak at the turn of the year.
