The climate of Ischia (Italy)
Ischia is an island situated in the Gulf of Naples. The island has a surface area of 46.4 square kilometers and is the largest of the Phlegrean Islands. The highest point of the island is Mount Epomea at 787 meters. From here you have a nice view over the Bay of Naples. The island is called the Green Island because it has many forests. Ischia is known for its thermal sources and mud baths. The water is said to contain healing minerals against all kinds of diseases. Mount Epomea, the Aragonese Castle and Casa Micchiola (thermal resort) are all well worth visiting. The climate of Naples is strongly influenced by the sea. Winters are mild with periods of heavy rainfall. Summers are warm and sunny with temperatures of 30 degrees Celsius on average.
