The climate of Trieste (Italy)
Trieste is a city north of Venice bordering Slovenia and has about 200,000 inhabitants. Trieste is the capital of the Trieste province. The Trieste province is a narrow strip of land between the Adriatic Sea and the Carso mountain range. Trieste is a beautiful port with beautiful ancient Roman excavations; among them are a theater and a Basilica. The city has a rich history, was conquered several times and has been under different rulers. The most famous attraction in Trieste is the Miramare castle. Trieste has a very mild climate. During the winter it only gets cold in the higher regions. Summers are sunny and wet. Trieste gets a little more rain than other places in Italy.
