The climate of Himeji (Japan)
Himeji is famous for the beautiful castle which is situated in the city. This beautiful piece of Japanese architecture is a UNESCO world heritage site. The structure consists of 83 white buildings that all match together and fit snugly into each other. Next to this beautiful castle the Kokoen Garden can be enjoyed; a beautiful garden in Japanese style. Mount Shosha is a large temple complex situated on a mountain. A visit to this complex can be highly recommended.
Himeji has a damp and warm sea climate. This type of climate is characterized by rainfall all year round. However, most of the rain falls during tropical storms, thunderstorms and typhoons. Summers are warm and dry and are often unpleasant because of high humidity figures. Winters are mild, subzero temperatures are uncommon.
