The climate of Kikambala (Kenya)
Kikambala is a small tourist resort a few kilometers north of Mombassa. Several large hotels and several small lodges can be found here, all of them have pearl white beaches with palm trees that offer shade. Watuma National Water Reserve is situated north of the resort. Abuko Forest is also north of the resort, large herds of elephants live here. Kikimbala is often referred to as Kikambala Beach. Kikambala has a tropical monsoon climate with one distinct rainy period during spring. The rest of the year is also quite wet, apart from the winter period. Daytime temperatures are around 30 degrees Celsius on average. During the warmest days of the year an ever blowing sea breeze offers some cooling.
