The climate of Nanyuki (Kenya)
Nanyuki is centrally located in Kenya in the Bonde la Ufa province. The city is very popular among tourists who use Nanyuki as a starting point to visit Mount Kenya or one of the many reserves or safari parks that are situated in the vicinity of the city. In the vicinity of Nanyuki Mount Kenya National Park, Sweetwaters Gam Reserve, Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, Samburu National Reserve and Shaba National Reserve can be found. The population of Nanyuki uses the meltwater from Mount Kenya as drinking water. Nanyuki has a tropical monsoon climate which is cooler than you may expect. This is caused by the higher altitude at which the city is situated. Precipitation figures are reasonably high, rain falls in two different periods. April and November are the wettest months on average.
