The climate of Cadzand (the Netherlands)
Cadzand is a small coastal town located in Dutch Flanders on the North Sea. The chic Flemish coastal town of Knokke is located at a distance of 8 kilometers from Cadzand. The beautiful historic city of Bruges is located at a distance of 25 kilometers. On the Dutch-Belgian border the Zwin nature reserve is situated. A unique biotope was created here because the area floods with water from the North Sea twice a day. Several species of migratory birds can be spotted here and many unique species of plants have made this area their habitat. Cadzand has a small boulevard. Here you can find everything a tourist needs: from a bicycle rental service to an Italian ice salon and everything in between. Just like almost every coastal town in the Netherlands the climate of Cadzand is influenced by the Atlantic current. This current causes the sea water to remain warm which affects temperatures. According to the Köppen climate classification Cadzand has a moderate sea climate with cool summers and mild winters. Cadzand gets less rainfall than the interior of the Netherlands.
