The climate of Lillehammer (Norway)
Lillehammer is located in the southeastern part of Norway on Lake Mjøsa. The city is known for being the host of the 1994 Olympic winter games. The skiing facilities, bobsleigh tracks and ski jumps are still available. Several well signed and beautiful footpaths can be enjoyed here. You can also rent a bike. Besides indulging in sports activities you may also decide to visit the largest open air museum which can be found here. During the winter Lillehammer is covered in a thick blanket of snow. Because of high precipitation figures snow is almost always guaranteed during the winter. Lillehammer has a mild climate strongly influenced by the sea. The influence of the sea has a moderating effect on temperatures both during summer and winter.
