The climate of Oslo (Norway)
Oslo is the capital of Norway and is located in the southern part of
the country on the Oslo Fjord. The city is an exhilarating metropolis
with many museums (about 50). In Oslo you can visit the old town hall,
the old defensive fortress and the Royal palace. The city is also the
seat of the country’s government. Oslo hosted the Olympic winter games
of 1952. This isn’t surprising since the city is covered in a thick
blanket of snow for about 30 days per year. Oslo has a mild climate.
Because of its location on the sea and the Atlantic Gulf Stream
temperatures are mild both during summer and winter.
