The climate of Bocas del Toro (Panama)
Bocas del Toro is an archipelago off the coast of Panama. The largest islands in this archipelago are: Christobal, Bocas del Toro, Bastimentos, Popa and Coral. Life here is still peaceful and quiet; mass tourism hasn’t found the islands yet. Who wants to enjoy a beautiful scenery combined with white beaches and the Caribbean way of life is in the right place here. The waters surrounding Bocas del Toro were among the first to become a preservation area. Divers and snorklers can find beautiful mangroves and reefs here. Large parts of the island are covered with tropical rainforests; several islands are a bird sanctuary. You can go for long walks through the forests or laze away the day on the beach; palm trees and white beaches everywhere. You can really enjoy the peace and quiet here. Bocas del Toro has a tropical climate with a distinct dry period. From May till August precipitation figures are high. Temperatures are around 27 degrees Celsius on average.

More climate information

The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather, extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate information for each month of the year:
