The climate of Poznan (Poland)
Poznan is a city located on the banks of the river Warta. The old city offers several attractions such as the Archcathedral Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul. Both the city hall and the National museum (Narodowy museum) are well worth visiting. Because of the many students that live here Poznan has an exhilarating nightlife. Most people visit Poznan when trade fairs are held. Poznan has a moderate continental climate with warm summers. The Baltic Sea has little influence on the climate here. During the winter subzero temperatures are not uncommon, especially when there is an easterly wind. The cold wind that comes from Russia may cause temperatures to drop far below freezing point within a few hours.
