The climate of Kibuye (Rwanda)
Kibuye is located in the western part of Rwanda in the West province. Kibuye is located on Lake Kivu which forms the natural border between Rwanda and DR Congo. The Ndaba waterfalls can be found in the vicinity. Lake Kivu was used to dump the bodies of the Tutsis during the genocide of the 1990s. A large statue commemorates this these gruesome acts. Kibuye has a tropical monsoon climate slightly influenced by Lake Kivu. During the winter precipitation figures are fairly high. Summers here are the drier periods. However, the occasional shower is not uncommon. Temperatures are stable all year round. During the day temperatures are 25 degrees Celsius (77 degrees Fahrenheit).
