The climate of Caleta de Fuste (Canary Islands / Spain)
Caleta de Fuste is a seaside resort on the east coast of Fuerteventura. Originally Caleta de Fuste used to be only a small defensive fortress (El Castillo). Project developers have turned it into a seaside resort over the past few decades. Nowadays the resort consists of various types of accommodation and shopping malls. The main attraction in Caleta de Fuste is the semi-circular golden sandy beach with very fine sand. The beach is situated on the leeward side making it ideal for families with children. Caleta de Fuste has a dry climate with only few rainy days. Summers are extremely dry. From October chances of precipitation start to increase. However, heavy rainfall is uncommon. Every now and then a heavy depression passes by causing heavy rainfall. However, this only occurs once every 1-2 years. When this occurs it will be between November and March.
