The climate of Puerto de la Cruz (Canary Islands / Spain)
Puerto de la Cruz is located in the northern part of Tenerife. The southern part of the island is known for its dry and sunny climate; Puerto de la Cruz is wetter and greyer. Cloudless blue skies are not a standard feature. Indeed, the skies do get clouded over from time to time. However, temperatures remain pleasant. The most important tourist attraction of Puerto de la Cruz is the Loro Park Zoo which is also one of the main attractions on Tenerife. When it is warm in Puerto de la Cruz it is also muggier than in the south. Because of high humidity figures on warm days things may get muggy. However, on average the climate and weather are pleasant enough for an enjoyable sun holiday.
