The climate of Jávea (Spain)
Javea or Xábia is located in the most eastern part of the Spanish mainland in the Alicante province in the autonomous region of Valencia. The city is situated on the leeward side of several capes on the Mediterranean Sea. The historic center of the city dates back to the late middle ages. Just like the rest of the region Javea gets many hours of sunshine. Summers are warm and dry, winters are mild and fairly dry. Javea has a Mediterranean climate. the main reasons for tourists to stay here are the pleasant climate and the beautiful surroundings. During the winter temperatures regularly rise to 20 degrees Celsius (68.0 degrees Fahrenheit). During the summer it is often pleasantly warm with temperatures around 30 degrees Celsius (86.0 degrees Fahrenheit) accompanied by a pleasant sea breeze. Storms are uncommon in Javea just like extremely high temperatures of around 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit). Minimum temperatures in Javea hardly ever drop below 4-5 degrees Celsius (39.2-41.0 degrees Fahrenheit). Because of this snow, subzero temperatures and glazed frost are uncommon.
