The climate of Arusha (Tanzania)
Arusha is a city located in the northern part of Tanzania in the Arusha province of which it also is the capital. Arusha is located in the vicinity of Mount Kilimanjaro at the foot of Mount Meru. In the vicinity of the city Arusha national park and Kilimanjaro national park can be found. The Serengeti National park is also very close by. Arusha is located in the vicinity of the border with Kenya which can be reached by bus from Nairobi. The city is often used as a starting point to visit one or several of the national parks.
Arusha has a tropical savannah climate with two dry and two wet periods. The first rainy period is from March till May, the second one is from November till December. Differences in temperatures are higher here than in other places in the country. Nights may be fairly cool.
