The climate of Mbeya (Tanzania)
Mbeya is a large city located in the southwestern part of Tanzania in the Mbeya province of which it also is the capital. The city is located in the vicinity of the border with Zambia. Mbeya is situated in a hilly area in the vicinity of Mount Loleza. The city is very popular among tourists who use this city as a starting point to go on long hikes or go on a safari. In the vicinity of the city Kitulo National Park can be found.
Mbeya has a moderate China climate with a distinct dry and a distinct wet period. From October till April high precipitation figures are not uncommon, during the rest of the year hardly any precipitation falls. Because the city is situated at a higher altitude temperatures are slightly lower here than in other parts of the country.
