The climate of Moshi (Tanzania)
Moshi is located in the northern part of Tanzania in the Kilimanjaro
province at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. The city is very popular
among mountaineers who use the city as a starting point to climb Mount
Kilimanjaro. Every year the Kilimanjaro marathon is held here. The
city is located in the vicinity of Arusha which is more popular among
tourists.
Moshi has a tropical savannah climate with a distinct dry and a
distinct wet period. The rainy period is from March till May. There is
also a second rainy period from October till December. During this
period precipitation figures are lower than during the first rainy
period. During the dry periods showers are not uncommon.
