The climate of Bullhead City (Arizona
- United States of America)
Bullhead City is a medium-sized city located in the northwestern part
of Arizona and borders Nevada. Bullhead City is located in Mohave
County on the banks of the Colorado River which forms the natural
border with Nevada. On the other side of the Colorado River the city
of Laughlin is situated. The border with California is only a few
kilometers south from Bullhead City. The city was founded at the end
of the 19th century and was named Hardyville. At the beginning of the
20th century Hardyville became a ghost town. During the second part of
the 20th century Bullhead city was founded on the remains of
Hardyville and was named after the Bullhead Dam. Bullhead City has a
warm desert climate with many warm days during the year. Especially
during the summer it may get very hot here with temperatures exceeding
40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit). Precipitation figures are
low all year round. During the winter there is a small chance of
subzero temperatures during the night. Snow or sleet is uncommon.
