The climate of Texarkana (Arkansas - United States of America)
Texarkana is located in the southwestern part of Arkansas in Miller County. Texarkana is located on the border with the state of Texas. On the other side of the border Texarkana, Texas is located. These two cities are about the same size, together they have a population of about 75,000. The border between these two cities is formed by the State Line Avenue. Because it is illegal to sell Liquor in Texas several liquor stores can be found on the Arkansas side of this shopping street. Texarkana has a warm maritime climate slightly influenced by the Gulf of Mexico. Because of this influence winters here are slightly warmer than in other parts of Arkansas. Precipitation is quite evenly spread out over the year with a small peak during spring. Texarkana is located in Tornado Alley which means there is a risk of tornadoes.
