The climate of Bridgeport (Connecticut

Bridgeport is located in the southwestern part of Connecticut on the
Long Island Sound. Bridgeport is the largest city in this state.
Bridgeport is located on the mouth of the Pequonnock River. Off the
coast, in the Long Island Sound two islands can be found which are
part of Bridgeport: Fayerweather Island and Steeplechase Island.
Steeplechase Island is known for its beaches.
Bridgeport has a warm maritime climate influenced by the Long Island
Sound. Summers are pleasantly warm, during some days it may even be
hot. Winters are cold to extremely cold. During the coldest months
average temperatures are below freezing point. Precipitation is quite
evenly spread out over the year. During the winter precipitation
mainly falls in the form of snow.
