The climate of Waterbury (Connecticut
- United States of America)
Waterbury is located west of central Connecticut on the banks of the
Naugatuck River. The city is also known as Brass City. Several
buildings can be found here that date back to the early 1900s. These
buildings have all been well preserved. The most beautiful building is
the Waterbury Union Station Building with its tall clock and bell
tower which is the city’s most prominent landmark. Waterbury has a
warm maritime climate with cold winters and pleasantly warm summers.
Precipitation is quite evenly spread out over the year. During the
winter precipitation mainly falls in the form of snow. Winters are
cold to extremely cold. During the coldest periods temperatures hardly
rise above freezing point.
