The climate of Idaho Falls (Idaho - United States of America)
Idaho Falls is a large city located in the eastern part of Idaho. Idaho Falls is located in Bonneville County on the banks of the Snake River. The city was founded during the second part of the 19th century and was called Eagle Rock. Several decades later the city was renamed via a referendum. The beautiful Idaho Falls Idaho Temple can be found here which is a Mormon Church.
Idaho Falls has a cold steppe climate with low precipitation figures. Winters are long. Longer periods with subzero temperatures during the winter are not uncommon. Summers are warm; average temperatures are 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit). During the warmest summer days the sun shines for more than 12 hours per day. During the winter precipitation mainly falls in the form of snow.
