Idaho Falls is a large city located in the eastern part of Idaho.
Idaho Falls is located in Bonneville County on the banks of the Snake
River. The city was founded during the second part of the 19th century
and was called Eagle Rock. Several decades later the city was renamed
via a referendum. The beautiful Idaho Falls Idaho Temple can be found
here which is a Mormon Church.
Idaho Falls has a cold steppe climate with low precipitation figures.
Winters are long. Longer periods with subzero temperatures during the
winter are not uncommon. Summers are warm; average temperatures are 30
degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit). During the warmest summer
days the sun shines for more than 12 hours per day. During the winter
precipitation mainly falls in the form of snow.
