The climate of Pocatello (Idaho - United States of America)
Pocatello is a large city located in the southeastern part of Idaho. Pocatello is located in Bannock County on the banks of the Portneuf River. Pocatello was an important railroad station when the gold rush reached its peak. Just outside the city Fort Hall Indian Reservation can be found. This reserve is very popular because of the casinos that can be found here. In the city the Idaho State University can be found. Pocatello has a cold steppe climate characterized by low precipitation figures all year round. Winters are cold with longer periods with subzero temperatures. During the winter most precipitation falls in the form of snow. Summers are short and warm. During the summer temperatures of 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit) are not uncommon.
