The climate of Bloomington (Illinois

Bloomington is a medium sized city located centrally in Illinois in
Mclean County. In this county the city of Normal can be found as well
which merged with Bloomington. Originally this region was home to the
Kickapoo Indians. The first European settlers came here at the
beginning of the 19th century. The Illinois State University can be
found here. Bloomington is known for its golf courses. These are among
the most beautiful in the United States.
Bloomington has a warm continental climate with extremely cold
winters. During the winter temperatures hardly rise above freezing
point. Summers are warm with the occasional hot day. During the
warmest days of the year temperatures easily rise up to 36 degrees
Celsius (97 degrees Fahrenheit). Precipitation is quite evenly spread
out over the year. During the winter precipitation may fall in the
form of snow or glazed frost.
