The climate of Kentucky (United States of America)
Kentucky is a state located in the southeastern part of the United States of America. Kentucky is one of the four states constituted as a Commonwealth. A lot of different landscapes can be found in Kentucky. A significant portion of eastern Kentucky is part of the Appalachians which is a dominant mountain range in the eastern part of the United States. The largest part of Kentucky has a warm maritime climate. This subtropical climate type causes plants to grow lusciously. This is also why the agricultural sector has always been successful in this state. Kentucky has four distinct seasons with cool winters and warm summers. Spring and fall are much more erratic. Kentucky can record up to 1,200 millimeters of annual precipitation. Spring is slightly wetter and fall is slightly drier than the other seasons. In the higher located regions in the east it may get cold during the winter. During the summer temperatures are slightly lower here than in other places.
