The climate of Owensboro (Kentucky - United States of America)
Owensboro is located in the northwestern part of Kentucky in the vicinity of the city of Evansville which is located in the state of Indiana. Owensboro is located on the banks of the Ohio River. This region used to be home to the Shawnee Indians. The International Bluegrass Music Museum with the International Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame can be found here. One of the oldest synagogues in America can be found in Owensboro, the Temple Asath Israel.
Owensboro has a warm maritime climate with characteristics of a warm continental climate. Because of this longer periods with subzero temperatures are uncommon here. Precipitation is quite evenly spread out over the year. During the winter precipitation may fall in the form of sleet or snow.
