The climate of Lewiston (Maine - United States of America)
Lewiston is located in the southeastern part of Maine and is one of the two principal cities of Lewiston-Auburn. The two cities are also known as L/A. Lewiston is located in the vicinity of the Androscoggin River which used to be the industrial center of the city. The two most beautiful buildings in the city are the town hall and the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul.
Lewiston has a wet continental climate influenced by the Atlantic Ocean. Winters are cold and wet with snowfall. However, the amount of snow that falls varies every year. Summers are mild and wet without getting too hot. A fierce northeasterly wind strongly influences the climate in this region.
