The climate of Cincinnati (Ohio
- United States of America)
Cincinnati is located in the most southwestern part of the state of
Ohio in the vicinity of the borders with the state of Indiana and
Kentucky. The city is located on the banks of the Ohio River and the
Erie Canal. Several sports teams play their home matches in
Cincinnati: the Cincinnati Reds (baseball) and the Cincinnati Bengals
(American Football). The Cincinnati Masters are held here annually as
well. This tennis tournament is also known as the fifth Grand Slam.
The old city center is known for its Italianate architecture.
Cincinnati has a warm continental climate with warm to hot summers and
cool winters in which subzero temperatures are not uncommon.
Precipitation is quite evenly spread out over the year. During the
winter snowstorms may occur. During late summer there is a small risk
of tornadoes.
