The climate of Enid (Oklahoma - United States of America)
Enid  is a medium sized city located in the northern part of Oklahoma in Garfield County. The city was founded during the opening of the Cherokee Outlet in the Land Run of1893. At the beginning of the 1900s oil was found here which caused the economy to flourish. The largest amount of grain in the United States is stored here. Many grain warehouses can be found in Enid, this is also why the city is known as ‘Wheat capital of the United States’.
Enid has a warm maritime climate with warm to hot summers and short but cold winters. Most precipitation falls during early summer. During this period humidity figures are higher as well. During the winter subzero temperatures may occur. However, subzero temperatures can mainly be recorded during the evening and night. Enid is located in Tornado Alley, so there is a risk of tornadoes here.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather, extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate information for each month of the year:
