Medford is a large city located in the southwestern part of the state
of Oregon in the vicinity of the border with the state of California.
Medford is located in Jackson County on Bear Creek. The city was
founded during the second part of the 19th century with the coming of
the Oregon and California Railroad. The main sources of income used to
be agriculture and logging. Nowadays the main source of income is
health care.
Medford has a Mediterranean climate with warm to hot summers and cool
to mild winters. During the winter periods with subzero temperatures
during the night are not uncommon. Most precipitation falls during the
winter. During the summer hardly any precipitation can be recorded.
During the summer the shine shines exuberantly here. Medford gets
